Introducing the HEDT-9040 and HEDT-9140: These are high-temperature marvels

featuring three-channel optical incremental encoder modules.

When paired with a codewheel, these cost-effective modules

effortlessly detect rotary positioning. Each compact module boasts of a lensed

LED source complemented by a detector IC, all elegantly housed in a small plastic

package. Thanks to the highly collimated light source and

the innovative photodetector array, these modules offer the

same superior performance found in the HEDS-9040/9140

three-channel encoders, redefined for excellence.

The HEDT-9040 and 9140 present a Block Diagram with two-channel

quadrature outputs, alongside a third-channel index output.

This index output showcases a 90 electrical degree high true index

pulse, ensuring precise measurement every time.

The HEDT-9040 is crafted for codewheels featuring an

optical radius of 23.36 mm (0.920 in.), while the HEDT-9140 is

engineered for codewheels with an optical radius of

11.00 mm (0.433 in.), offering versatile applications.

Access the quadrature signals and the index pulse seamlessly

via five 0.025-inch square pins, strategically placed on 0.1-inch

centers, ensuring ease of connectivity.

Choose from a range of resolutions between 360 and 1024 counts per revolution.
