The HEDT-9040 and HEDT-9140 models are designed to operate in high-temperature environments,

featuring a robust three-channel optical incremental encoding system.

Paired with a codewheel, these economical modules excel in detecting precise rotary positions.

Each compact module comprises a finely-tuned lensed

LED light source alongside a sophisticated detector IC, all enclosed within a streamlined plastic

housing. The modules stand out due to their highly collimated light source and the

exclusive photodetector array, ensuring superior performance synonymous with the HEDS-9040/9140

three-channel encoders, providing the market-leading reliability.

These models offer unparalleled functionality with both two-channel quadrature outputs and a third-channel index output.

The HEDT-9040 and HEDT-9140 models incorporate a block diagram with two-channel

quadrature outputs and a third-channel index output, ensuring comprehensive performance.

The unique index output delivers a precise 90 electrical degree high true index

pulse, guaranteeing accuracy in every application.

The HEDT-9040 model is tailored for codewheels with an

optical radius of 23.36 mm (0.920 in.), while the HEDT-9140 is optimized for

codewheels with an optical radius of

11.00 mm (0.433 in.), catering to diverse operational needs.

Accessing the quadrature signals and index pulse is made easy through five square pins,

each positioned 0.025 inches square on 0.1 inch center spacings.
