The HEDS-9700 series embodies a pinnacle of innovation as a high-performance, yet budget-conscious optical incremental encoder module. Designed to synergize with a codewheel or codestrip, it adeptly detects rotary or linear positions. The module is ingeniously constructed with a lensed LED source paired with a detector IC, all housed within a compact C-shaped plastic design. Its remarkable tolerance to mounting misalignment is attributed to its precision-engineered collimated light source and unique photodetector array. The module offers dual-channel digital outputs, powered by a 5V supply, accessible via four solder-plated leads strategically placed at 2.54 mm centers.
