The HEDS-9700 series exemplifies high-performance excellence at an affordable price point. These optical incremental encoder modules, when paired with a codewheel or codestrip, precisely detect rotary or linear positions. The module features a precision-engineered lensed LED source and a detector IC, all contained within a compact C-shaped plastic package. Thanks to its highly collimated light source and distinctive photo detector array, this module offers exceptional tolerance to mounting misalignments. Equipped with dual-channel digital outputs and a 5V supply input, it ensures seamless integration via four solder-plated leads on standard 2.54 mm (0.1 inch) centers. The standard HEDS-9700 is ideally suited for use with an 11 mm optical radius codewheel or linear codestrip, with additional options available upon request.
